Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 imposes obligations on every company, institution and professional that processes personal data. The main obligations are providing privacy notices, obtaining explicit consent, data security, cross-border transfers and responding to data subject requests. Breaches may be sanctioned with administrative fines by the Personal Data Protection Board; some acts also constitute criminal offences.

Our firm advises data controllers on compliance and also pursues the rights of individuals whose data has been processed unlawfully.
